Idaho KOA Campgrounds
Camping in Idaho
Come Camp in Idaho! Idaho has much to offer, including beautiful weather, inspiring natural scenery, and plenty of trails for hiking, biking, and more. Some of the best fishing in the world can be found on the Salmon and Snake Rivers as they wind through Idaho.
This award-winning, peaceful KOA lies along the Oregon Trail, halfway between Salt Lake City and Yellowstone National Park. Settle back in a tree-shaded site, lulled by the trickle of the stream that runs right through the campground. Drop a lure into the water (fishing license required) or relax in the heated pool. Either is sure to ease any road-weariness out of your bones. The National Oregon/California Trail Center provides an eye-opening look at the pioneer experience, including a computer-simulated covered-wagon ride. Adventure today leans toward ATV trails, boating in Bear Lake and hiking along the Highline Trail or Limber Pine Trail (which leads to a 2,000-year-old limber pine). Also nearby, scour the skies for white-faced ibis and redhead ducks at Bear Lake National Wildlife Refuge or head underground to marvel at the nine rooms of Minnetonka Cave.
Near the Twin Falls/Jerome KOA flows the spectacular Snake River, ideal for fishing, boating and mild-to-wild whitewater rafting. Want to relax? Try the paddleboats.
Explore Snake River Canyon, site of Evel Knievel's legendary motorcycle jump. Witness the 212-foot Shoshone Falls, higher than Niagara. Climb at the City of Rocks National Reserve, soak in a nearby hot springs or head for Vegas style casinos in Jackpot, Nevada.
The Outback Cafe serves breakfast and dinner from June through August and offers free dinner deliveries to your site. Take advantage of this campground's style of "room service."
Visit the Craters of the Moon National Monument & Preserve, Shoshone Indian Ice Caves and Sun Valley. Nightly summertime ice cream socials and free movies enhance the family atmosphere. Maybe that's what attracts the mallard duck families-they come back every year too!
From I-84 Exit 173 go 1 mile north on US 93 or 5 miles north of Twin Falls on US 93.
